About LouLou

I am Louise 'LouLou' Barrette, born and raised in the small town of Tilbury, Ontario.

It all started back in October 1982 at the very young age of 8. My Mother thought it
would be cute to dress me up as a clown for Halloween. She made me the cutest orange
and white suit of stripes and polka dots. Little did she know she was on to something. As
a very shy child it didn't take long for me to realize that I was unrecogonizable in
clown. I could finally be myself without anyone knowing it was me. A clown was
born. A few years later I walked my first Canada Day parade handing out balloons for
a local business.

Years went on and I still had the itch for clowning. I went to the local library and found a
book on basic balloon animals. I was hooked. But it wasn't until a friend gave me the
push I needed to do a birthday party. I was lost. I had never even seen a clown perform. That
is when I met Binki the Clown. She helped me get started by lending me her entire
show. She took the time to show me how to use magic and face painting combined with
balloons to put a whole show together.

Over the years I've worked hard on my balloon creations and face painting. I've attednded
classes at the Clowns Canada and Clowns of America conventions.

I'm proud to announce that I am the first place winner of the face painting competition and tied for first place in the balloon
competition at the Clowns Canada Carnavalle 2006.

Every year I head back to my roots and make an appearance in the Tilbury Canada Day Parade.

It only takes one smile from one child to fill my heart and soul.

LouLou

Words To Live By

"This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it - or use it for good, but
what I do today is important, because I am exchanging a day of my life for it!"

"When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something that I have traded for it. I want
it to be gain, and not loss; good and not evil; success, and not failure; in order that I shall not regret the price I have paid for it."
